The rules for using Edupledge, including pledges, evidence, and sponsored challenges.
Effective 16 September 2026
These Terms are an agreement between you and Edupledge LTD, a company registered in England and Wales, operating Edupledge. Our service and business address is 66 Paul Street, London EC2A 4NA, United Kingdom. By creating an account or using Edupledge, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy.

Edupledge is a study-accountability and social motivation service. It lets students create and join pledges, record study or attendance activity, use screen-time challenges, share study check-ins, connect with Pledgemates, and participate in sponsored challenges.
Edupledge does not guarantee academic results, admission, employment, prizes, uninterrupted availability, or that another user will complete a pledge.
PledgePoints are fictional, non-cash, non-transferable in-app points. They are not money, stored value, cryptocurrency, property, a deposit, or a promise of a financial reward. They cannot be purchased, sold, transferred to another student, redeemed for cash, or withdrawn.
A stake means a number of PledgePoints committed to a pledge. A participant who voluntarily leaves forfeits that stake. Before a pledge starts, creator cancellation returns eligible stakes; after it starts, the creator can no longer cancel and must use the same forfeiting leave route as any other participant. If the last accepted participant leaves, the pledge settles and closes without deleting its history or refunding the forfeited stake. Edupledge may correct balances affected by error, duplication, manipulation, or abuse.
A separate sponsor feature, disclosure, and consent flow is still pending. Until that feature is released, do not treat these Terms as authorisation for sponsor sharing. If it launches, the sponsor, eligibility, rules, dates, data sharing, and any separate prize terms must be displayed and separately accepted before you join.
A sponsor will be responsible for its own selection, opportunity, prize, or follow-up decisions. Edupledge does not guarantee any outcome.
Edupledge does not guarantee that joining or completing a sponsored challenge will result in admission, interviews, employment, awards, or any other opportunity. Additional sponsor terms may apply and will be shown separately.
You keep ownership of content you create. You give Edupledge a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, copy, process, resize, display, and distribute it only as needed to operate, secure, moderate, and improve the service. This licence ends when the content is deleted, except for protected backups, safety records, or legal obligations.
You must have the right to upload your content. Do not upload confidential documents, exam materials you are not allowed to share, someone else’s personal information, or an image of another person without appropriate permission.
We may review reported or automatically flagged content, remove content, reject evidence, correct progress or points, restrict features, suspend accounts, or terminate access where reasonably necessary for safety, integrity, legal compliance, or enforcement.
We aim to consider context and severity, but urgent safeguarding action may occur without advance notice. You may contact us to ask for a review of a decision.
Some features require optional camera, photo-library, calendar, notification, location, or screen-time permissions. You control these through your device. Refusing or withdrawing permission may prevent the related feature or evidence check from working.
Edupledge’s software, visual design, branding, and original service content belong to the operator or its licensors. These Terms give you a personal, limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service; they do not transfer ownership.
We may maintain, change, suspend, or discontinue features. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. We will try to give reasonable notice of material changes where practical.
You may delete your account from Profile. We may restrict or end access for serious or repeated breaches, safety risks, fraud, legal requirements, or harmful use. Clauses that by their nature should continue—including ownership, liability, disputes, and necessary records—survive termination.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation, or your statutory consumer rights.
To the extent permitted by law, Edupledge is not responsible for indirect or unforeseeable loss, another user’s conduct, a sponsor’s decisions, loss caused by inaccurate device evidence, or loss caused by events outside our reasonable control. If we fail to use reasonable care and skill, we are responsible for loss that is a foreseeable result of that failure.
We may update these Terms. We will provide appropriate notice of material changes. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms; where law requires fresh agreement, we will request it.
These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you keep any mandatory rights and may bring proceedings in the courts available to you under applicable consumer law. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve a concern fairly.
